Royal Enfield has launched the 2026 update of its bestselling Classic 350 in India, bringing two rider-focused upgrades while leaving the iconic retro styling untouched. The motorcycle now comes equipped with an assist and slipper clutch and a USB Type-C fast charging port.

Prices for the updated Classic 350 start at Rs 1,87,434, ex-showroom, putting it in direct competition with the Honda H'ness CB350 and the Jawa 42.

What You Need to Know

  • Royal Enfield Classic 350 gets an assist and slipper clutch for lighter clutch action
  • A USB Type-C fast charging port has been added for charging devices on the go
  • The 349cc J-series engine continues unchanged, producing 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm
  • Nine colour options available across dual-channel ABS variants

What Has Changed

The biggest mechanical addition is the assist and slipper clutch, a feature that reduces clutch lever effort by roughly 30 percent. This makes stop-and-go traffic significantly less tiring for the rider, addressing one of the most common complaints about the Classic 350. The slipper function also prevents rear-wheel hop during aggressive downshifts.

Royal Enfield has also added a USB Type-C fast charging port, allowing riders to charge smartphones and other compatible devices while on the move. The port is conveniently placed for easy access.

What Has Not Changed

Everything else carries over unchanged. The Classic 350 continues with the same 349cc air-oil cooled J-series engine that produces 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle rides on a twin downtube spine frame, suspended by 41 mm telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers with six-step preload adjustment. Braking is handled by a 300 mm front disc and a 270 mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS offered across all dual-disc variants. It rides on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, carries a 13-litre fuel tank, and has a kerb weight of 195 kg.

Pricing and Variants

The 2026 Classic 350 is available across all dual-channel ABS variants from today. Buyers can choose from nine colour options spanning the standard, Classic Signals, and Classic Dark trims.

Variant Price (ex-showroom)
Classic 350 Redditch Rs 1,87,434
Classic 350 Halcyon Rs 1,96,768
Classic 350 Dark Rs 2,05,890
Classic 350 Signals Rs 2,09,999

Bottom Line

The 2026 Royal Enfield Classic 350 update is modest but meaningful. The assist and slipper clutch makes a genuine difference to everyday rideability, and the USB charging port is a practical addition. For anyone shopping in the 350cc retro motorcycle segment, the Classic 350 remains the default choice.
